Sarah WilsonProject and Programme Manager
Sarah is a highly experienced project and programme manager, trainer and consultant. Over the last 25 years, she has worked in many sectors, including education, pharmaceutical, food manufacturing, utilities, police forces, health and social care, charities and finance.
Sarah has been an APM qualified professional since 2004 and holds a BSc in Marketing and an MSc in Information Technology. She combines this rare mix of skills with an ability to build relationships at all levels of business, to effectively support complex organisational change, often acting as a bridge between technical and non-technical teams. Sarah’s experience allows her to follow strict governance procedures where appropriate, whilst incorporating the flexibility needed to adapt to the agile requirements of the current world. This pragmatic approach to project management enables Sarah to deliver her projects successfully with a light but efficient touch.
Sarah has spent many years training and mentoring new project managers and supporting PMO development. She has helped several organisations to develop and embed in-house project management methodologies. She currently acts as an auditor for the programme management office of a Yorkshire based health and social care lottery funded programme.
Why do I work with Project Rome?
I love working on interesting and challenging projects where I am going to learn a lot and I love working with people who work hard but also enjoy their work and have fun doing it – Project Rome gives me the opportunity to do all of those things.
What do I feel most proud of?
Leaving a lasting and useful impression – so when someone I worked with many years ago says; “I always base my project planning on the common sense approach you introduced me to – thanks so much” – that makes me feel proud.
