Mick Swales
Associate DirectorMick is a respected public affairs specialist with 25 years’ professional experience working in frontline politics and public affairs. He worked as a senior political adviser to government ministers and shadow ministers, providing advice on policy, strategy, and communications across several ministerial briefs. He acted as Operations Director on Labour party leadership and deputy leadership campaigns for both Andy Burnham and Alan Johnson.
Mick works with clients in the public and private sectors on national, regional, and local government relations, campaigns, stakeholder engagement, reputation and crisis management. He has extensive experience in preparing clients for appearances before parliamentary select committee hearings.
He works across several sectors, including energy and utilities, sport, health and wellbeing and has an excellent track record in providing strategic political counsel and delivering strong buy-in from policy-makers and stakeholders.
What do I feel most proud of?
Becoming the first in my entire family to go to university was quite a proud moment (although I didn’t appreciate it at the time). Ditto finishing the Great North Run.
