Kevin Schofield


Kevin is a director of Project Rome and brings over 25 years of experience and knowledge in environment, sustainability and real estate to the team. He has operated at board level since 1992 and has sat on the board of numerous companies including national property consultancies, a large UK property development and construction organisation , and UK, US and global environmental consultancies.

In the first part of his career he directed significant high risk complex construction projects with overall financial and timeline delivery responsibility and subsequently advised some of the UK’s leading Institutional funds and real estate developers on contaminated land and environmental issues. During his tenure as the UK director of The Payne Firm Inc he also advised some of the worlds largest private equity companies. Kevin has also spent 2 years as the ‘eco-champion’ for Wal*Mart’s specialist global logistics business travelling extensively in Europe, China and the US.

In 2003 as a director at Delta-Simons Environmental Consultants he led the MBO team and subsequently played a significant role in growing quickly to £4.5m of revenues.

Kevin was closely involved with the creation of the global Inogen® Alliance which provides consultancy services across 16 countries. He also sat on the advisory Board for 2 years and during this time has worked with leading international organisations on their sustainability strategies and acted as lead facilitator on global sustainability conferences convening thought leaders and key note speakers in four continents.

Kevin is currently Chairman of Solutions for the Planet; a not-for-profit organisation working with organisations such as Balfour Beatty and LaFarge Tarmac with a mission to build open innovation partnerships between young people, businesses and communities.
