Project Rome can help you find answers that you can put into action with the support of your staff and business partners.  Our employees and associates have plenty of experience of help organisations at every stage of maturity pick the right path and deliver successful outcomes.

Our directors are currently working with FTSE 100 & 250 companies as well as with early stage businesses and their investors.  We work regularly with publicly owned entities, commercial companies and private organisations. We are familiar with the demands and governance required of us in these settings and are recognised on a number of framework agreements.

Our directors are working for clients in a broad range of sectors from healthcare, bio-tech and clean technologies, to the utilities, transport, IT, property and banking.

Project Rome is headquartered in Yorkshire in the North of England but we travel to where we are needed.  Our directors are currently delivering contracts for clients based in the US, Turkey, the Netherlands and even Lancashire.

Our Principles

The way we do business is important to us. Project Rome is proud of its reputation and we work hard to protect it. This means that:

  • We will only take assignments where we can genuinely add value.
  • If we perceive we are not adding value we will tell you and discuss if and how we should walk away.
  • We will treat everyone in the way we would expect to be treated.


We are confident that we can add value to the organisations with which we work and want to be paid appropriately for what we do. To date, all the clients we have worked with have also wanted that to be the case. We understand that, to make this happen, we need to work with you to construct a fair fee structure that aligns our remuneration with your commercial ambition and risk appetite.

We are, therefore, open to structuring our fees in a way that reflects the realities of your business. Obviously we can’t run a company based totally on a success basis, but we do occasionally work with clients in a number of ways and with a mixture of: Fees, Success related and Equity as we are comfortable in our ability to judge risk and reward.

1. Fees – Cash payment for work delivered and agreed in advance
2. Success related – Introductory payments, a share of the upside, or success based
3. Equity – In some circumstances we may agree to waive our fees in return for sharing in the growth of your company

Kevin Schofield

Kevin was a director and founder of Project Rome. He brought over 25 years of experience and knowledge in environment, sustainability and real estate to the team. Kevin passed away in 2017 after a short illness. He is much missed and his values live on within the company.
